De Koninck City Brewery is a brewery in the Belgian city of Antwerp. They organise weekly events including an interactive brewery tour.
During this tour you learn everything about Antwerp as a beer city, Belgian beers and the complete brewing process. A highlight of the tour is tasting De Koninck's most famous beer, a Bolleke.
boostU in action: how ticket sales for De Koninck City Brewery got a boost
De Koninck Brewery approached boostU to help with ticket sales for the 'De Koninck Experience Tour', better known as the most fun adventure in town! After developing a smart online-first strategy, Google Ads and Facebook Ads were chosen as the main and most impactful channels.
To bring this to a successful conclusion, a fresh data strategy was also needed: the current ticket sales were not measurable and could not be attributed to the various online marketing efforts. But thanks to implementing an e-commerce data layer and corresponding Google Tag Manager container, we were finally able to generate valuable insights.
With our Google Ads campaigns, we had one goal in mind: selling tickets for the De Koninck Experience Tour, with a specific ROAS target. We created a campaign structure based on search intent, allowing us to channel a steady stream of potential visitors to the website. Those not yet actively looking for a fun activity were shown creative banners and YouTube Ads to increase awareness of the interactive tour.
For the Facebook campaign, we targeted everyone interested in beer and breweries. We created various ads (videos and static visuals) of the brewery and the De Koninck Experience Tour. These ads were targeted at people in Antwerp and surroundings and at tourists who might be interested in visiting the brewery.
The result of these campaigns was very successful. We saw an increase in the number of bookings for the De Koninck Experience Tour. The campaigns led to greater visibility of De Koninck as a tourist destination and increased brand awareness of De Koninck as a brewery.
De Mol x De Koninck
In 2022, 'De Mol' (the Belgian TV show) came to De Koninck Brewery for their anniversary edition. For this occasion, the interactive tour was redesigned and completely themed around 10 years of 'De Mol'. An accompanying video was of course essential:
